The Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM) is a major research and teaching initiative between a partnership of institutions, namely, the Université de Genève (UniGE), the Université de Lausanne (UNIL), the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), as well as two University Hospitals, the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) and les Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG). Its overall goal is to foster state-of-the-art biomedical imaging applications to further advance research and technological development. In this context we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Fellow / Staff scientist

Your tasks
  • Development of novel MR acquisitions schemes for, but not exclusively, MR spectroscopy, human MRI scanners (7T Siemens + access to 3T Siemens scanners)
  • Active contribution to the existing research programme of the group

Your profile

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in physics, biophysics, or a related field. You should enjoy working in an interdisciplinary, multinational research environment, have good working knowledge in the IDEA programming environment or a strong track record in pulse sequence programming on clinical scanners. Creative problem solving and excellent communication and writing skills are required to work in this highly interdisciplinary environment.

This position is offered by the CIBM with working place at the EPFL, Lausanne
